Preventions

There are many ways to prevent Diabetes Type 2 from happening to you. Here are some of them:

  • Stay at a healthy weight.
  • It is based on your body mass index (BMI). It is related with your body type and height.
  • Exercise regularly.
  • You should have at least 2 hours of activity during a week or y you prefer 1 hour of vigorous activity a week. 30 minutes a day, five times a week.
  • Eat healthy foods
  • Eat a balanced diet. This should include whole grain, sources of protein, and vegetables. Get fiber.
  • Reducing blood pressure.
  • Quitting smoking and alcohol.
